Dr Liana D’Antuono
Chiropractor
BSc (Chiro)
My introduction to chiropractic began during my teenage years. At the time I was a keen indoor volleyballer, and trained up to 5 times a week and as a result suffered from chronic neck pain and shoulder pain.
Being in the sporting realm I was exposed to multiple musculoskeletal practitioners who attempted to help me with my problem, but it was not until I went to a chiropractor that I experienced the greatest results. My neck pain and sleep patterns improved as the tossing and turning ceased. I also found that my performance on the volleyball court improved both mentally and physically and inspired me to enroll into Chiropractic School.
After studying for 5 years at Murdoch University I graduated with first class honors in a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Chiropractic degree. Over this time I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and passion for my profession and make it my aim to connect with people to help them pursue their goals and return to activities that have previously been limited by pain or poor function.
My clinical focus is in family care from babies, children to the elderly and also with an interest in sports. Utilizing techniques inclusive of manual adjusting, activator, blocking, soft tissue therapies and rehabilitation.
Over the years I have had clinical experience in working in several sporting events and as a sports trainer and chiropractor for a football team. In 2009 I travelled to India with a group of chiropractors where we provided care to the impoverished communities surrounding Siliguri, northeast India. It was incredible, not only to experience first hand the warmth and love of the Indian people but also to witness the power of a chiropractic adjustment and the importance of human touch.
